history
Hans Foxby founded the trading company Unimerco in Denmark in 1964 . In the first few business years the company took over the distribution of nailing machines from the French brand TJEP . Two years later, cutting tools for the woodworking industry were added to the range. After Unimerco had steadily increased its market share in Denmark in the 1970s and 1980s, international expansion began in the 1990s.
In 2011, the Japanese conglomerate Kyocera took over 100% of the Unimerco shares under a takeover agreement.
