Cutting tool
Cutting tools (also called cutting devices ) are characterized by one or many cutting wedges attached to a shaft or blade , which are used to shape a workpiece by cutting . Depending on the type of cutting process, a distinction is made between cutting tools for cutting and cutting tools for cutting production processes . Tools for CNC machines are assembled from several individual parts and documented in the tool management . In addition to this narrow definition, there are also thermal and electrical cutting devices ( cutting torches and plasma cutters ).
