The Kyonggi University (KGU, Hangul : 경기 대학교, Hanja :京畿大學校, RR : Gyeonggi Daehakgyo) is a private university in South Korea .

It is one of 36 colleges in Seoul . The main campus is located in Suwon . Kyonggi University has partnerships with 152 universities in 31 countries and is attended by more than 650 international students.

history

The university was founded by Dr. Sang-kyo Son founded.

1947 - Established as a Choyang Kindergarten Teacher School
1957 - renamed Kyonggi Institute
1964 - Kyonggi College opens in Seoul
1979 - Suwon Campus opens
1984 - conversion to Kyonggi University
