District court Sangerhausen

The district court Sangerhausen is a court of ordinary jurisdiction and one of seven district courts in the regional court district of Halle in Saxony-Anhalt .

Court seat and building

The district court of Sangerhausen has been using the Markt 3 building since 1992 , which was built in 1586 and expanded into the New Palace in 1616–1622 at the behest of Elector Christian I. Later it served as the seat of the authorities and temporarily as a noble residence. Courts have been housed in the building since 1816, the (Prussian) district court from 1879, the district court in GDR times and the district court again after 1989.

Judicial district

According to Section II No. 5 of the Annex to the GerOrgG LSA, the judicial district of the District Court of Sangerhausen includes the district of Mansfeld-Südharz , unless the communities are assigned to the District Court of Eisleben , i.e. the cities of Allstedt , Kelbra and Sangerhausen , as well as the communities of Berga , Blankenheim , Brücken -Hackpfüffel , Edersleben , Südharz and Wallhausen . However, various processes are centralized, as Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia are about to Mahnsachen as Common dunning court for the states of Saxony, the district court Aschersleben , for the register, the association register and the commercial and cooperative register, the District Court Stendal and insolvency proceedings, the District Court Halle responsible .

The Halle Regional Court is directly superior to the Sangerhausen District Court. The competent higher regional court has its seat in Naumburg ( OLG Naumburg ).
