District court Merseburg

The District Court of Merseburg is a court of ordinary jurisdiction in Germany. It belongs to the district of the Halle Regional Court and the Naumburg Higher Regional Court .

The seat of the court is Merseburg . The courthouse is located at Geusaer Straße 88 , southwest of downtown Merseburg.

The judicial district includes the cities of Bad Dürrenberg , Bad Lauchstädt , Braunsbedra , Farnstädt , Leuna , Merseburg , Müchi , Querfurt and Schraplau , as well as the communities Barnstädt , Nemsdorf-Göhrendorf , Obhausen , Schkopau and Steigra , which all belong to the Saalekreis . The rest of the district area belongs to the district of the Halle District Court , with which the court operates a joint on-call service.

history

1821 was in Merseburg court District Merseburg City and the responsible for the suburbs Altenburg and Neumarkt court District Merseburg country formed. In 1835 both were combined to form a regional and municipal court. Later it was run as a district court. From 1849, the eastern outskirts of the Querfurt district also belonged to the judicial district . In 1879, when the new Courts Constitution Act came into force, the district court became the Merseburg District Court, with the judicial district remaining largely unchanged. However, the eastern outskirts of the Querfurt district came to the Munchen District Court , whereas some communities of the former Schkeuditz District Court Commission now belonged to the Merseburg District Court. The Lauchstädt and Lützen court commissions also belonged to the district.

In 1945 the judicial district was aligned with the area of the Merseburg district , in 1952 it was converted to a district court, and after 1990 again to a district court.
