L'Illustré is a weekly French-language magazine from Switzerland . It is the most widely used magazine in French-speaking Switzerland .

history

In 1911, the Ringier- Verlag published Schweizer Illustrierte for the first time , at that time still in book format. In 1921, around ten years later, L'Illustré appeared - the counterpart for French-speaking Switzerland.

Under the competition with magazines from France as well as the television went WEMF - certified circulation since the 1970s of around 160,000 copies gradually yet 59'872 (previous year 61'207.) Sold or 61'751 (previous year: 62nd '602) circulated copies and a reach of 282,000 (previous year: 269,000) readers.

content

At first the content was a black and white photo album with short texts, but after the Second World War it developed into a colored news magazine. In the 1950s, the publishers concentrated on the categories of sports coverage, fashion pages, leisure activities and help in life, later also increasingly on personalities from social life and sensational events.

The magazine is produced in Lausanne and appears every Wednesday. It belongs to the Ringier group. The editor-in-chief is Michel Jeanneret .
