László Halmos
László Halmos (born November 10, 1909 in Nagyvárad , † January 26, 1997 in Győr ) was a Hungarian composer and choirmaster . He is one of the most important church musicians in Hungary.
Halmos lectured as a professor at the Theological College and the State Conservatory in Győr, where he has lived and worked since obtaining his diploma. He also worked as choir director at the Győr Cathedral. He wrote several hundred works, including choral pieces, songs, chamber music, oratorios, cantatas, masses, as well as organ and orchestral works.
