As runner-group is called a name no longer known group of vase painters, the v in the second half of the 6th century. Was an important representative of the fikellura style of Eastern Greek vase painting at the time of the orientalizing style .

The runner group was the most important group of artists who worked in the fikellura style, alongside the volute zone group to be added later . The most important representative of the group was the Läufer painter , who, alongside the Altenburg painter, was recognized as the most important individual artist of the style. The group adorned their vessels, mostly neck amphoras , with individual figures, such as satyrs , maenads , pygmies , cranes, centaurs and perhaps in isolated cases even with mythological figures that are difficult to interpret.
