Lice and fleas

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Läuschen und Flöhchen is a fairy tale ( ATU 2022). It is in the children's and house tales of the Brothers Grimm at position 30 (KHM 30).

content

Läuschen and Flöhchen brew beer. Läuschen burns itself, whereupon the flea screams, the door creaks, the broom sweeps, the cart runs, the pile of dung is on fire, the tree shakes itself, the girl breaks her little water, the little fountain flows and thereby drowns everything.

construction

The story is told in such a way that everyone repeats a poem to the next one as a justification, to which he appends the new verse. In the end it says:

"Läuschen got burned,
Flea cries
Door creaks,
Broom sweeps,
Cart runs
Misty burns
Tree shakes. "

origin

Wilhelm Grimm heard the story from Dorothea Catharina Wild in 1808 . It is in the original handwritten version of the Children's and Household Tales 1810 as No. 3, later as No. 30. The note mentions sources of similar children's verses.

parody

In Janosch's parody, Läuschen burns its paws while cooking, and everyone cries, fleas, brooms, handcarts, apple trees, worms, the narrator too, such crap , and it rains incessantly.
