The Långholmsbron is a bridge in Stockholm in Sweden .

It leads from the island of Södermalm to the island of Långholmen to the north, bridging the Pålsundet . The 56 meter long bridge was built in 1931 and replaced a previous building. In 1995 the bridge was widened from 3.5 to 8.0 meters.

Stockholm Central Prison was located on Långholmen for a long time . In the Swedish vernacular, the bridge is therefore also called Suckarnas bro ( German : Bridge of Sighs ).
