Léon Daeschner

Léon Daeschner (born May 27, 1894 in Antwerp ; † unknown) was a German lawyer who was commissioned as trustee for Brandenburg in 1933, special trustee for the iron and metal industry in 1939 and special trustee for banks in 1944.

Life

Daeschner attended the humanistic grammar school and then studied law at the universities of Lausanne and Frankfurt am Main, interrupted between 1914 and 1918 by his work as a volunteer in the First World War. In 1920 he was promoted to Dr. jur. PhD. The topic of his dissertation was corporate design. An examination of their admissibility according to private and public law with special consideration of the latest company forms under commercial law and their position in relation to the relevant Reich tax laws . This work was published in 1923 in Leipzig by Xenien-Verlag.

Léon Daeschner worked for 18 months as a metal worker in a foundry and was a member of an arbitration committee in Koblenz for four years . He took over the management of industrial plants for eleven years. He joined the NSDAP and rose to the Reich leadership of this party. Daeschner also became an SS member.

In 1933 Léon Daschner became deputy head of the social welfare office of the German Labor Front (DAF). A little later Daeschner was appointed trustee in charge of the work for Brandenburg. In 1939 he became special trustee for work in the iron and metal industry.

His appointment as SS-Standartenführer in the Waffen-SS took place on November 9, 1943.

In 1944 he succeeded Franz Schmelzer as special trustee for the banks.
