Léon Saint-Réquier

Léon-Edgard de Saint-Réquier (also (wrongly?) Léon Saint-Réguier , born August 8, 1872 in Rouen ; † October 1, 1964 ) was a French composer, organist and music teacher.

Saint-Réquier was a student of Vincent d'Indy and Alexandre Guilmant . He worked as organist and chief des Chanteurs de Saint-Gervais and conductor at the church of St.-Charles-de-Monceau and was a professor at the Paris Schola Cantorum . Among other things, he composed sacred choral music and a requiem for soloists, choir and orchestra (1928). His students included Celestino Piaggio , Marc de Ranse , Marcel Mihalovici and Luis Durey .
