Lüshi chunqiu

The book Lüshi chunqiu ( Chinese  呂氏 春秋  /  吕氏 春秋 , Pinyin Lüshi chūnqiū , W.-G. Lü-shih ch'un-ch'iu , English The Annals of Lü Buwei , German Spring and Autumn of Lü Buwei ) was created in China at the end of the Warring States just before the establishment of the first Chinese Qin Empire . The author or compiler is Lü Buwei , the penultimate chancellor of Qin as a kingdom. The conception for the work originated around 265 BC. It was started in 250 BC. According to the afterword, the records were completed on August 11, 239. The entire work was in the year Lü Buweis died in 235 BC. Not yet in its final version before.

The work consists of 26 books: the 12 “Ji / Notes” with 60 chapters and an epilogue, the 8 “Lan / Observations” with 63 chapters and the 6 “Lun / Treatises” with 36 chapters.
