offer

The company arranges remaining allotments of over 10,000 hotels and 130 airlines worldwide. The hotel partners report their empty bed capacities via the Internet , where these are then automatically combined with suitable free seats from the airlines. Ltur offers package tours as well as hotel accommodation, flights, cruises, rental cars and travel insurance services at last-minute conditions worldwide . ltur last minute trips advertise that they are up to 50 percent cheaper than in the travel catalog.

Using the ltur travel price comparison, the ltur last minute price is automatically compared with other online providers and shows the cheapest offer on the Internet that has been checked for vacancies within a few seconds. It doesn't have to be the cheapest offer on the market. The trips can be booked in 140 sales outlets as well as on the Internet and by telephone.

Company history

The company was founded on September 1, 1987. In the following year the first branch was opened in Switzerland, followed in 1990 by the first branch in Austria. In the same year the ltur call center was set up. Further stores were opened in Holland in 1992, in France in 1994 and in Poland in 1995. Ltur's website was also launched in 1995.

TUI took a 25 percent stake in ltur in 1997 and one year later became the majority shareholder with 51 percent of the shares. The international call center started operations in 2000. Another change in the shareholders came about in 2002 when Thomas Cook took a 10 percent stake in ltur and TUI reduced its stake to 46 percent.

In 2003 the online offer was expanded with the launch of Flyloco.de. Further online offers followed in 2006 with the flight portal lturfly.com and in 2007 with the hotel portal lturhotels.com. Another innovation in 2011 was the possibility of booking remaining Deutsche Bahn spaces on ltur.de.

The ltur BONUS customer program was launched in 2015. Loyal last-minute customers can collect bonuses and discounts on their personal customer account and redeem them the next time they book a trip.
