LCL codec

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

LCL (for L ossless C odec L ibrary ) is a compression method for digital videos.

LCL is available for free and contains two different video codecs: AVIzlib and AVImszh . The lossless video codecs are particularly suitable for graphic CGI videos.

AVIzlib compresses single images using zlib and optionally with a PNG filter. AVIzlib uses the FourCC zlib .

Compression using MotionSZH is based on LZ77 data compression , an algorithm by Abraham Lempel and Jacob Ziv from 1977.
