The LTE Logistics and Transport GmbH (short-LTE) is a private Austrian railway company with headquarters in Graz and an office in Schwechat near Vienna. The purpose of the business is to carry out the transport of goods by rail, including the transport of dangerous goods.

history

LTE was founded with the articles of association dated May 29, 2000 and with initial entry in the commercial register on September 2, 2000.

In 2001 the company was granted the railway license to provide transport services in the Austrian rail network. In 2003 the Slovak subsidiary LTE Slovakia sro was founded. This was the first private Slovak railway company. After the Czech Republic and Slovakia, a subsidiary was also founded in Hungary, and in the years that followed in the Netherlands, Germany, Romania and Poland. A cooperation with Adria Transport in Slovenia provides access to the port of Koper.

LTE is now active in 14 countries of the European Union and has branches in the following European countries (Austria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, the Netherlands, Germany, Romania, Poland). Goods are transported from the Baltic Sea to the Adriatic and from the North Sea to the Black Sea. In Belgium, France, Switzerland, Italy, Croatia, Serbia and Romania there are cooperations with other railway companies.

Social relations

LTE was founded in 2000 by Graz-Köflacher Bahn as a subsidiary for international freight transport. On June 17, 2015, the Rhenus Group acquired 50 percent of the shares.

  • Wagon Ambulance - wagon repairs, safety inspections, railroading of freight wagons, transfer of non-operational freight wagons to workshops, wagon management and stripping work on the bogie (Bratislava / 300 km radius)

The vehicle inventory includes 4 Siemens ES 64 U2 / U4 / F4 / X4 , 6 Siemens ER20 , 2 Bombardier TRAXX  F140, 4 CKD 740, 3 Bombardier Traxx F160 AC3, and 2 Softronic Transmontana
