The Romanian vehicle manufacturer Softronic has been offering the six-axle Transmontana freight locomotive since 2010 . His first electric locomotive model was the Softronic Phoenix , which was mechanically based on the EA series of CFR , which was built by ASEA from 1965 and from Electroputere from 1967 .
technical description
The Transmontana is a six-axle electric locomotive that can be operated with alternating current of 25 kV and 50 Hz as well as 15 kV and 16 ⅔ Hz. The machine is the first locomotive made in Romania to have three-phase asynchronous motors , has a top speed of 160 km / h and is approved in Romania, Hungary and Sweden. Since the 17th locomotive, which was presented at the InnoTrans 2014 in Berlin , the design has been changed with a crash-optimized front.
Customers
Most of the locomotives have so far been delivered to Romania and Hungary. The largest customer is Deutsche Bahn Cargo Romania .
In July 2017, the Swedish railway company Green Cargo ordered two locomotives with an output of 6 MW, which arrived in Sweden as the GC Mb series on July 5, 2018, after the locomotive type was tested in Sweden in 2015. This was followed by a follow-up order for six more locomotives, which are to be delivered in autumn 2019. 16 locomotives have now been ordered. 28 locomotives are planned for 2023.
A total of 36 Transmontana locomotives had been delivered by the end of 2018.
