Lustat Statistics Lucerne (own spelling LUSTAT Statistics Lucerne ) is a public-law institution with its own legal personality in the canton of Lucerne .

The legal basis is formed by the Statistics Act of the Canton of Lucerne of February 13, 2006 (SRL 28a), the Statistics Ordinance of December 11, 2007 and the Ordinance on the Establishment, Organization and Financing of the Central Statistics Office of June 15, 2007.

The highest body, the Statistics Council, consists of five members and is responsible

  • Financing and using the finances
  • the election of the director
  • Reporting as part of a controlling report.

In addition to the cantonal statistics, Lustat runs the Central Switzerland Social Welfare Statistics unit and collects the statistics of the inpatient health care providers in the six Central Switzerland cantons.

Publications

The results are available to the public through annual publications as part of the LUSTAT yearbook, LUSTATaktuell, LUSTAT topics, LUSTAT compact, LUSTAT news and LUSTAT letter.
