LVD Company NV is a Belgian family company based in Gullegem near Kortrijk . LVD manufactures hydraulic die brakes , but also makes guillotine shears , laser cutting and punching machines.

history

The name LVD goes back to the three founders J. L efebvre, M. V an Neste and R. D ewulf.

In 1996 LVD entered into a sales and service cooperation with the German competitor EHT Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH, which did not have the desired success due to the different corporate cultures and was therefore terminated again in 2001. Today EHT is connected to the German company Trumpf through a sales cooperation .

In 1998 LVD took over the US company Strippit Inc. in Akron , NY, and thereby expanded its own product portfolio to include punching machines.

Today, LVD is one of the world's leading manufacturers of machine tools for sheet metal working with production sites in Belgium, France and the USA as well as more than 15 service and sales offices worldwide, mainly in Europe and Asia.
