La Cofradia, SA de CV is a tequila producer from the city of Tequila , Mexico .

The name La Cofradia literally means lay brotherhood and, according to the company's own description, it should represent a strong bond of brotherhood and the embodiment of common property. The people who work together in the company are known as cofrades , which means nothing else than colleague.

Tequileria, which is listed by the Mexican supervisory authority CRT under NOM 1137 and DOT 111, is currently the seventh largest exporter of the Mexican national drink.

In addition to the La Cofradia brand of the same name , the distillery also produces the following tequilas: Amate , Casa Noble , Cava del Villano , El Artillero , Los Cofrades , Los Dorados , Pepe Vinoria , Sevilla La Villa , Siglo XXX and Tres Alegres Compadres .
