List of tequila producers

There are currently around 130 production facilities for tequila in Mexico , which together produce more than 900 brands (as of 2008). The Mexican supervisory authority Consejo Regulador del Tequila , CRT for short, monitors compliance with the legal requirements for the production of tequila . The state-approved tequila producers are each listed under a NOM and a DOT designation, which are noted on the bottle labels. These guarantee the authenticity of the tequila.
