La Giuntina

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

La Giuntina is an Italian publisher based in Florence specializing in Jewish culture and religion.

In 1980 Daniel Vogelmann founded La Giuntina . The publisher's first publication was Vogelmann's translation of Elie Wiesel's La Nuit . It appeared in the Schulim Vogelmann series dedicated to his father, which is now one of four series. His father ran the Tipografia Giuntina printing company , after which the publishing house was named and which Daniel Vogelmann initially took over after his death in 1974.

The publisher currently (as of March 2012) has 500 titles on offer and published two magazines: one is Zakhor , which is dedicated to the Jewish history of Italy and was published once a year from 1997 to 2006; on the other hand La Rassegna Mensile di Israel .
