La Pedrera is a town in Uruguay .
geography
La Pedrera is located in the northern part of Uruguay in the Tacuarembó department in sector 1 . The place is located southwest of the department capital Tacuarembó and a few kilometers southeast of Cerro de Pastoreo in the Cuchilla de la Aldea . Not far south of the village flows the Arroyo Tranqueras , to the north the Arroyo de la Matutina rises . A few kilometers south to southwest lie above the Arroyo Tambores , a tributary of the Arroyo Tranqueras, the Cerro del Bombero , the Cerro Agudo , the Cerro de las Boleadoras and the Cerro del Monte . The closest settlement in the southeast is Paso Bonilla .
Residents
At the 2011 Census, the population of La Pedrera was 240, of which 127 were male and 113 were female. The Instituto Nacional de Estadística de Uruguay did not collect any data for the 1963 and 1975 censuses .
