La Vierge ( French for The Virgin ) is a rocky island up to 13 m high in the Géologie archipelago off the coast of the East Antarctic Adélieland . It is located east of the Governor Island in the Baie Pierre Lejay .
French scientists named her in 1977 after the zodiac sign Virgo .
