Lagaccio

Lagaccio is a district of the Italian port city of Genoa . At the administrative level, Lagaccio is part of the Munizip I Centro Est .

Until 1997, the district together with the Oregina district formed the Circoscrizione Oregina-Lagaccio district . Today Lagaccio itself has a population of 13,145.

Lagaccio was originally located outside of Genoa in a small, narrow valley through which a stream, originating on Monte Peralto , flowed. This brook flowed into the Mediterranean Sea at today's Stazione marittima des Porto Antico .
