Laggan View is a residential building in the Scottish city ​​of Port Charlotte on the Hebridean island of Islay . The building is on the west side of Main Street at the south end of town. Since July 20, 1971, it was listed as part of an ensemble together with the neighboring Main Street Cottage in the Scottish List of Monuments in Category B. In 2006 the classification was changed and Laggan View was entered as an individual monument in category C.

The exact time of origin of Laggan View has not been passed down, which is why only the early 19th century can be given as the construction period. Laggan View is located directly on the street and was built in traditional construction on an area of ​​around 11 × 7 m 2 . The elongated property ends about 50 m to the west and ends with a wall on the parallel street. The front door is located in the middle of the street in a small porch. This protrudes centrally from the front, has two windows on the side and ends with a gable roof . It is symmetrically surrounded by five windows. A slate-covered gable roof sits on the upper floor. The gable fronts are in traditional Harling-Technology plastered. The opposite side of Main Street is undeveloped so that Laggan View overlooks Loch Indaal . On the opposite bank opens Laggan in the side bay Laggan Bay where the name Laggan View ( Laggan-view ) is derived.
