Laguna Coachworks was a manufacturer of automobiles from the USA .

Company history

Frank Reisner founded the company in Laguna Beach in 1979 after leaving Automobili Intermeccanica . He made automobiles. The brand name has not been passed down. A total of 13 vehicles were built, 11 of which were sold. Production ended in 1981.

Frank Reisner founded Intermeccanica International in Canada in 1982 and continued production there.

Reisner took over twelve bodies from his old company. From this he made eleven vehicles. The model was a replica of the Porsche 356 Speedster . An open fiberglass body was mounted on a shortened chassis from the VW Beetle .

He modified the twelfth body and developed the roadster from it .

Reisner also designed the Lexington together with Peter Jacobi . This was a 1930s style convertible similar to the Clenet . The chassis came from Checker Motors Corporation . The open body was made of fiberglass. The vehicle remained a prototype .
