vehicles
The first model to appear was the Intermeccanica Roadster , which Reisner had designed in the USA. Initially, a shortened chassis from the VW Beetle formed the basis. In 1985 Reisner developed his own ladder frame, which replaced the VW platform from 1986.
In 1994, work began on the Intermeccanica Kubelwagen as a replica of the VW Type 82 . The idea came from Masaaki Horii, the Japanese importer. The model was launched after 18 months of development. A separate chassis forms the basis. An air-cooled four - cylinder boxer engine with a displacement of 1600 cm³ in the rear drives the rear wheels. At least earlier, a larger engine with a displacement of 2100 cc and 135 hp was also available.
According to the company, both of the above models were in the range in December 2016. Air-cooled engines with 72 HP to 165 HP, water-cooled engines from Volkswagen , Audi and Subaru with 120 HP to 200 HP as well as an air-cooled six-cylinder engine with 3600 cm³ displacement and 285 HP are mentioned.
