Barrie Carriage Co. was a Canadian manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
The company was founded in Barrie in 1903 to manufacture carriages . In 1915 the manager Simon Dyment decided to manufacture automobiles. Production began in 1916 with a license from the Bell Motor Car Company in the USA . The brand name was initially Bell , from 1918 Barrie . Production ended in 1920. A total of between 20 and 40 vehicles were built.

The vehicles largely corresponded to the Bell models. However, a drive built-in motor of Lycoming to the vehicles.
