Allard Motor Co. was a Canadian manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
The company was based in Mississauga and was associated with AHA Manufacturing Co. Ltd. , which made body shells and stretch limousines . In 1981 the production of automobiles and kit cars began . The brand name was Allard . Alan Allard, son of Allard founder Sydney Allard , sold the vehicles in Europe . Production ended in the same year, according to a source. Another source gives no year of dissolution.

The only model J2 X2 was a replica of the Allard J2X . Initially, a V8 from Chrysler with a displacement of 5200 cc and a turbocharger powered the vehicles. Later V8 engines from Ford with 4948 cc and 177 hp were used. The open body consisted of either fiberglass or aluminum .
