Le Vicomte Classic Coachbuilders Inc. , also known as Les Carrosseries Classiques Vicomte Inc. , was a Canadian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded on July 15, 1977 in Saint-Sauveur des Monts . The production of automobiles began. The brand name was Le Vicomte according to two sources , Le Victome , Vicomte and Renaissance according to others . Production ended in 1980. On March 6, 1987 the company was dissolved.

vehicles

The only Renaissance model was a 1930s-style vehicle. The base formed a chassis of a commercial vehicle of Ford with 3655 mm wheelbase . A four-seater body made of steel was mounted on top. One source writes Cabriolet , another Coupé . Images show closed vehicles with a convertible top, although it remains unclear whether the convertible top could be opened. A V8 engine from Ford with 6,600 cc displacement and 175  hp powered vehicles. Manual shift and automatic transmission were available.
