Queen City Cycle & Motor Works was a Canadian manufacturer of bicycles and automobiles .
Company history
The Toronto company originally made bicycles and tandems . According to one source, tricycles and quadricycles , i.e. three- and four-wheeled motor vehicles that were derived from bicycles and motorcycles , also emerged. 1901 began the production of automobiles under the direction of Cornelius Ryerson. The brand name was Queen . Motor vehicle production ended in 1903.
Car
The model is called a highwheeler by one source . Another source states that the vehicle had folding seats in the front and could accommodate four people in total. A single-cylinder engine of De Dion-Bouton with 823 cc engine capacity was mounted under the seat. The technical implementation of the accelerator and clutch is described as poor.
