Brockville Atlas Auto Co. Ltd. , previously Carriage Factories Ltd. , was a Canadian manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
The origins lie in the Canada Carriage Co. from Brockville , which was already active before the turn of the century. Carriage Factories Ltd. took over the company in 1909. The owner Thomas J. Storey decided to expand the range to include automobiles. His son Fred also worked for the company. Production began in 1910 or 1911. The brand name was initially Brockville and from 1912 Brockville Atlas . In 1912 the company name changed to Brockville Atlas Auto Co. End of 1914 production ended. A total of around 380 vehicles were built.
Canadian Briscoe Motor used the plant from 1916 to 1921 .

The only Model 30 largely corresponded to the Everitt from the Metzger Motor Car Company . The parts for this were obtained from Tudhope Motor . Of these, around 80 vehicles were built.
Brand name Brockville Atlas
The first model had an engine from Atlas Engine Works of Indianapolis , which influenced the brand name. The four-cylinder engine developed 40 hp . Other parts for chassis and technology were also imported. There was a choice of bodies as touring cars , roadsters and landaulets . The bodies were initially made of wood . In 1914 there were attempts with steel bodies that were not very successful.
Another 1914 model had a six cylinder engine from the Rutenber Motor Company .
