The Lahontan Reservoir is a 40 km² reservoir in the northwest of the US state Nevada . The reservoir is named after Lake Lahontan , which covered an area of 20,700 km² in the Ice Age . The Carson River is dammed by the Lahontan Dam . The lake has a shore length of 111 kilometers.
