Lai'an
The circle Lai'an ( Chinese 来安县 , Pinyin Lai'an Xiàn ) is a circle in the Chinese province of Anhui . It belongs to the administrative area of the prefecture-level city of Chuzhou .
It has an area of 1,481 km² and has 490,000 inhabitants. Its main town is the large community of Xin'an (新安镇).
The site of the defense of Banta in the anti-Japanese war (半 塔 保卫 战 旧址, Bàntǎ bǎowèi zhàn jiùzhǐ) is on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China .
