Laimes

A Laimes in Rozumice (Rösnitz)

Laimes are small to large reservoirs that are / were predominantly in Upper Silesia , but also in Eastern Lower Silesia . The name Laimes probably comes from the word mud house. Other names for the stores are Lehmes and Lehmsel.

Laimes are wooden storage tanks that have been covered with a layer of clay. Laimes were built free-standing from the residential building facing the street.
