Linen was a measure of length and was important in the cloth and drill trade ( Drillich ).

  • Generally 1 sheet = 1 drill = 24 yards of cloth (exceptions up to 30 yards)
  • Mecklenburg-Schwerin 1 sheet = 13.8 meters
  • Stralsund 1 sheet = 16 meters (linen fabric)
  • Pomerania 1 sheet = 24 yards (Pomerania) = 21 yards (Prussia) = 14.00 meters (for woven goods)
