Lambert von Ilsenburg (also Landbert ) was Bishop of Brandenburg from 1137 to 1138 .

Life

Lambert von Ilsenburg was a Benedictine monk . Before January 2, 1136 he was made Abbot of Ilsenburg . On behalf of Rudolf I von Halberstadt , he traveled to Rome in 1137 . His election as Bishop of Brandenburg took place during his stay in Italy . He never received episcopal consecration, because on the return journey from Rome he was attacked and slain by robbers on January 18, 1138.
