Lameck Mangani

Lameck Mangani is a politician in Zambia .

Lameck Mangani was chairman of agriculture in the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce . At the same time, he was Head of Operations and Human Resources for Alliance One International (tobacco) and previously Public Relations Manager at Standard Tobacco Company and General Manager of Dimon Zambia (tobacco), which merged into Alliance One in 2005. He has made sustained efforts to support and expand tobacco cultivation in the Eastern Province in order to establish this product as a further source of foreign currency. He soon became the spokesman for the Eastern Province Tobacco Sponsors Association . 15 percent of Zambian tobacco is smuggled in from Malawi, where US dollars 0.83 per kilogram are paid, while in Zambia US dollars 0.95 (2004).

In the 2006 election in Zambia , he won a seat in the National Assembly for the Movement for Multi-Party Democracy in the Chipata constituency . He was appointed Deputy Minister for Mining and Mineral Prospecting in October 2006. In 2010 he was released from his ministerial office. He was released from his post as president of the Patriotic Front Eastern Province in 2014.
