Tinsel syndrome
The tinsel syndrome is a sign of the death of spruce . The "curtain" of the spruce branches hanging down normally from the branches then becomes more transparent due to the loss of needles and the branches are individually visible like tinsel , hence the name. This disease can be recognized particularly well at the edges of the forest, if there are gaps due to diseases, mineral deficiency and parasite infestation .
