Lancelot de Saint-Maard
Lancelot de Saint-Maard († after 1278 ) was a Marshal of France in the 13th century.
With five other knights in his entourage, Lancelot took crusade to Africa (1270) under King Louis IX. part. He excelled in the Battle of Carthage , where he was almost killed after his helmet was badly damaged in hand-to-hand combat. However, he was saved in time by the Connétable de Beaujeu .
After the marshals Renaud de Précigny and Héric de Beaujeu died on the crusade, Lancelot was appointed the new marshal along with Raoul Sores . It was last mentioned in a document in 1278.
