State Archeology Bremen
The State Archeology of Bremen is the monument authority of the State of Bremen responsible for soil monuments .
tasks
The task of the specialist authority is to maintain the cultural monuments and to record and research them scientifically. Results of the archaeological work in Bremen are exhibited in the Focke Museum . Associated with the office of state archaeologist is the management of the Department of Prehistory at the Focke Museum and the Chair of Prehistory and Early History at the University of Bremen. In addition, the head of the department represents the editorship of the “Bremer Archäologische Blätter”.
