The Landeskroner Weiher is an artificial reservoir near Wilden , a district of the municipality of Wilnsdorf in the Siegen-Wittgenstein district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The pond is 372.1  m high, about 230 m long, up to 70 m wide and has a water surface of almost 13,500 m² (1.35 ha). The pond is fed by the Wildebach , which flows into the pond at the eastern end and leaves it again at the western end. However, the original course of the stream only covers about 200 m with the pond. The water movement keeps the water cool even in summer. The pond has been a popular summer excursion destination for years. The Wilder Angelverein and the DLRG Siegerland have a hut on the shore. The association also invites you to celebrate on May 1st every year . The federal motorway 45 has been running at the eastern end since the 1960s with a bridge over the pond.

So that ore extraction and processing of the Landeskrone mine could work faster and more effectively, a dam was built in 1890 to dam the Wildebach. On the morning of November 24, 1890, the dam of the pond broke after it had rained for days. The fields and meadows of the middle and lower wilderness were devastated and the winter harvest destroyed. Farmhouses, sheds and stables were destroyed and swept away. The level of the Wildebach rose to about one meter. Oberwilden was spared from the floods because it was in the valley of the Kleiner Wildenbach , a side valley of the Wildebach.
