State Welfare Association

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

State welfare associations exist in the federal states of Hesse ( Landeswohlfahrtsverband Hessen ) and Saxony ( Kommunaler Sozialverband Sachsen ).

These are associations that are supported and financed by the districts and cities of the state. They perform tasks of social welfare and assistance for the disabled, in particular the function of supra-local authority for social assistance .

The State Welfare Association Württemberg-Hohenzollern (LWV-WH) and the State Welfare Association Baden (LWB) were dissolved on December 31, 2004 as part of the administrative reform of the State of Baden-Württemberg. The previous tasks of these state welfare associations were divided and handed over to the city and rural districts as well as to the municipal association for youth and social affairs in Baden-Württemberg .
