State Welfare Association Württemberg-Hohenzollern

The state welfare association Württemberg-Hohenzollern was a social association, more precisely a state welfare association , in Baden-Württemberg . It was founded in 1964. Among other things, the Württemberg State Welfare Association was merged into it, in which four state poor associations were merged in 1924 .

In 1964 the newly created State Welfare Association (LWV) Württemberg-Hohenzollern took over. On December 31, 2004 the association was dissolved.

Nursing homes

The state welfare association took over the following "poor employment and custody institutions", in which homeless, old, sick and disabled people were housed:

During Operation T4 in 1940/41 at least 279 disabled people from the four state welfare institutions were murdered, mostly in the Grafeneck killing center near Münsingen .

The nursing homes were run by the LWV Württemberg-Hohenzollern from 1964 and were transferred to the LWV.Eingliederungshilfe on January 1, 2003 .
