Landon Curt Noll (born October 28, 1960 in Walnut Creek , California ) is the discoverer of two Mersenne prime numbers : and . ${\ displaystyle 2 ^ {21701} -1}$ ${\ displaystyle 2 ^ {23209} -1}$

Noll is a member of the Amdahl 6 group and found the largest Amdahl 6 prime number : He is the co-inventor of a system for naming numbers of any size. He also helped start the International Obfuscated C Code Contest and is the co-inventor of the Fowler Noll Vo hash feature. ${\ displaystyle 391581 \ cdot 2 ^ {216193} -1.}$

Noll is also an avid astronomer. He coined the term meteor squall ("Meteorbö") to describe a significant meteor shower.
