Landsberger Hohlpfennig

Landsberger Hohlpfennig or "Hohlpfennig nach Landsberger Schlag" is a collective name for hollow pennies made of silver , embossed on one side, which were minted around 1450 with a Landsberg coat of arms or shield .

Mints were among others Gotha , Freiberg , Zwickau , Landsberg and Jena .

Of the same type with the Landsberger shield, hollow lighter around 13 mm in diameter were also minted. The diameter of the hollow pennies is about 20 mm.
