The landscape protection area east of Delstern with an area of 3.76 hectares is located in the area of the independent city of Hagen , district of Emst , in North Rhine-Westphalia . The landscape protection area (LSG) was designated in 1994 with the landscape plan of the city of Hagen by the city council of Hagen. The landscape protection area is intended for residential areas. If a development plan becomes legally binding, these areas are no longer designated as a landscape protection area.

The LSG borders the 49.10 hectare Hardt nature reserve in the south . Otherwise the LSG is only surrounded by residential areas. There is only deciduous forest in the LSG.
Protection purpose
According to the landscape plan, the designation was made “to maintain and restore the efficiency of the natural balance, in particular because of the occurrence of valuable forest communities; because of the diversity, uniqueness and beauty of the landscape and because of its special importance as a recreational area close to the city ”.
