The landscape protection area Rosengarten north of Eppenhauser Straße with an area of ​​3.08  hectares is located in the area of ​​the independent city of Hagen , Eppenhausen district , in North Rhine-Westphalia . The landscape protection area (LSG) was designated in 1994 with the landscape plan of the city of Hagen by the city council of Hagen.

The LSG is surrounded by buildings. Only in the east is a remnant of beech forest on the striking hilltop. This beech forest has been designated as a protected landscape component (LB). The protected landscape part of the Rosengarten north of Eppenhauser Strasse is not used for forestry purposes. In the LSG there are forests, orchards and pastures. The youth hostel in Hagen is located directly at the LSG and the youth hostel soccer field is even part of the LSG.

Protection purpose

According to the landscape plan, the designation took place "because of the diversity, uniqueness and beauty of the landscape, especially because of the peculiarity of these orchards and pastures surrounded by settlement areas and because of its special importance as a recreational area close to the city for the Eppenhausen district".
