In the LSG there is a contiguous forest area made up of deciduous and coniferous forest. The Buschbach, with a partially natural course, and several small bodies of water are in the area. In the reserve there is also a wildlife park and the hereditary crypt of Haus Busch .

Protection purpose

According to the landscape plan, the designation was made “to maintain and restore the efficiency of the natural balance, in particular by securing the naturally developed streams with typical floodplain vegetation and to preserve the forest complex that is important for the urban climate and protruding far into the populated area and because of the special importance of the forest area for recreational use geared towards experiencing nature ”.
